1995年に試作車が導入されたSiemens製のULF(=Ultra Low Floor)車。2015年までに3車体4台車の24m車131本と,5車体6台車の35m車201本の一大勢力となり,Wien市電から旧来の高床車を駆逐しつつある。写真はRing/Volkstheaterを行く1系統771号。車輪径は通常サイズ(610-690 mm)だが,床はレール面から220mmの全低床構造であるため車軸を通せない。「台車」は屋根に跨る門型で,1軸の独立輪を両側に持つ独特の構造。言わば全台車が「タルゴ方式」で,35m車のモーターは,中間4台車の車体間隔壁の中に下向きに装架される。(2014.9)
