市電最後の京都駅乗入れルートとなった,14号線を河原町通へ進入する5乙系統。写真の1844号は,元801型65両で唯一,南海大阪軌道線(阪堺線)へ移籍し251号となった。崇仁地区では市立芸大の移転を始めとする再開発が進むが,当時は靴・鞄を扱う商店の集積が見られた。(1977.7)
